Ellensburg's family plumber.
Excel Plumbing Inc. is a family-owned plumbing company based at 4573 Cleman Rd in Ellensburg. We have served this town since 1994, and the way we work has not changed: show up on time with a stocked van, explain what we find in plain terms, repair before we replace, and make it right if something is not.
Because the shop is here, most Ellensburg calls are a short drive. Same-day service is our aim during regular business hours, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, and our vans carry the common parts so most repairs are finished on the first visit.
What we do in Ellensburg homes.
We are a residential plumber. That covers the everyday problems and the bigger projects:
- Plumbing repair: leaks, running toilets, low pressure and broken lines
- Water heaters: tank and tankless, gas and electric, repair and replacement
- Water treatment: reverse osmosis, softeners and whole-home filtration
- Drains and sewer lines: clogs, backups and roots in the main line
- Fixtures: faucets, toilets, showers and sinks
- Remodels and additions: new layouts, new bathrooms, upgraded lines
- Kitchens and disposals
- Rental properties: for owners and property managers
- Frozen pipes and winter protection
- Whole-home inspections
Rentals in a college town.
A lot of Ellensburg housing is rented, and plenty of owners do not live nearby. We work at the unit when the owner cannot be there, handle repairs and upgrades between tenants, and secure the property when we leave. Property managers with several units get the same thing across all of them: on time, clean work, clear communication and a price before we start.
We had a blockage in the sewer line at a rental home in Ellensburg. Excel Plumbing responded quickly with their equipment and extracted a large root wad from the line. We appreciate their excellent service and knowledgeable plumbing technicians!
Straight pricing.
Our minimum service charge is $175 per hour plus materials. We explain the price before any work starts, and there are no hidden fees. Materials we supply and all of our workmanship carry a 1-year warranty, and the clean-up is guaranteed.

Winter in the valley.
Ellensburg winters are cold enough to freeze the pipes that sit near the outside of a house: crawl spaces, unheated garages, exterior walls and hose bibs. Late fall is the time to insulate those lines and check exposed plumbing. If a pipe does freeze, we thaw it and repair it.

From the bid to the service repair, everyone I spoke to at Excel Plumbing were extremely professional and helpful. Tyler was punctual and took time to explain what issues I had and how he planned to fix them so they wouldn't be a problem for me in the future. The price was incredibly fair for the work performed.
Had to have multiple shower and tub (2 bathrooms) issues addressed, mechanics replaced. Tyler and Corbin dod fabulous! They did the safety protocol (the hot water heater and turning off and on the water) with ease and were very tidy.
